ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN FOR AWARENESS AND MOTIVATION

Young Resilient women circle

The Young Resilient Women Circle (YRWC) is a dynamic and voluntary group established through the initiative of AWAM (Association of Women for Awareness and Motivation). It functions as a platform for emerging young women leaders from diverse socio-geographic backgrounds, including regions such as Jhang, Tobha Tek Singh, Jaranwala, Chiniot, and Faisalabad. The YRWC is designed to empower these leaders to advocate for women’s rights through targeted engagement with authorities and political decision-makers, with the primary objectives of promoting gender-sensitive policies and ensuring equitable access to justice for women. The group operates on the principle that systemic change is driven by informed, empowered, and grassroots-level advocacy, particularly from young women who represent marginalized communities.

The YRWC distinguishes itself through its unique composition, as each social leader brings a distinct narrative of resilience and survival, reflecting their lived experiences and struggles. These personal stories of overcoming adversity not only strengthen the group’s collective resolve but also serve as a source of inspiration for their advocacy work. The YRWC’s operational framework includes conducting structured awareness sessions and capacity-building workshops focused on key areas such as human rights, women’s rights, pro-women legislation, and international legal frameworks and agreements. These initiatives aim to equip grassroots young women, particularly emerging leaders, with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate and leverage human rights protection mechanisms at both national and international levels.

In This Regard, The Awam Frequently Arranges Training Workshops For Capacitating The Local Community Leaders For Equipping Them With Skills To Take Advocacy Initiatives To Influence The Authorities And Political Decision Makers For Having New Laws, Reforms In Existing Laws And Policies, And Introducing Affirmative Measures To Protect And Promote The Rights Of Marginalized Sections Of Society Including Working Women Of Informal Sectors Including Women Home Based And Domestic Workers, Persons With Disabilities, And Religious Minorities.

The group facilitates connections between these young leaders and national human rights institutions, thereby creating a bridge between grassroots activism and institutional advocacy. By fostering a generation of informed and empowered women, the YRWC addresses immediate socio-political challenges while simultaneously building a sustainable movement for gender equality and social justice. The group exemplifies the transformative potential of collective action and underscores the critical role of young women’s leadership in driving systemic change. Through its innovative approach, the YRWC serves as a model for grassroots empowerment and advocacy, highlighting the intersection of resilience, education, and activism in achieving equitable societal transformation.
